PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

EO7A1016_edited.jpg

Greetings and welcome to the Incomparable Two-Time, Five Star Inglewood Chapter!

My name is Rebekah Archer, and it is my privilege to serve as the 2023-2024 President of the
Inglewood Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated under Regional Director Joanne
Curry, and National President Kornisha Brown. Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is a
membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 to 19 dedicated to raising the next
generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children.

Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated began 85 years ago, on January 21, 1938, when twenty
one mothers met at the home of Marion Stubbs Thomas to organize the Jack and Jill Club.
Founded on the strength of family, joy of motherhood, and the love of children Jack and Jill of
America, Incorporated continues to accomplish its goals through its motto: “Let’s work, let’s
play, let’s live together.” Today, Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is the nation’s premier
African American family organization with over 250 chapters, representing more than 40,000
families.

On November 6, 1970, twenty dynamic women chartered the Inglewood Chapter, which has
willingly been of service to the Inglewood community for 50 years. Our chapter of mothers is
armed with the power to make a difference, and the drive to do it with Five Star Excellence!
Amid this remarkable and revolutionary time, our mothers have continued to do an excellent
job of pushing the envelope and thinking outside the box to execute creative and innovative
programming. Inglewood mothers work diligently to accomplish our national mission through
diverse programs focused on leadership development, cultural exposure, community service,
legislative advocacy, and philanthropic giving. Through these programmatic thrusts and our
service projects, the Inglewood Chapter successfully creates a medium of contact for our
children and others to stimulate their growth and development.

In all that we do, we are steadfast in our commitment to strengthen our sisterly bonds, stay on
mission and on purpose, and exercise our power to make a difference for all children.

Long Live Jack and Jill!

Warmly,
Rebekah Archer
